We've been home a week now! We're slowly organizing the basement our luggage vomited in when we unloaded here seven days ago. Slowly getting some sense of order to our days. Slowlyyyy checking things off our massive to-do list.
Ya know what's not going slowly?
The laundry.
I am stunned anew at the appliances here.
In Kuwait, my washer and dryer were tiny and took sweet forever to finish one load of minuscule laundry.
Here I can finish nearly everything we own in 90 minutes.
God bless America, amiright?!?!
Anyways.
Back to the beauty of France.
The next day our friends took us to a really pretty park...
This particular park had a cute little creek running through it for the kids to frolic in...
Our kids loved gettin' all muddy...
I loved getting to hang out with this guy...
The weather was gorgeous, and we enjoyed a tasty picnic where our friends treated us to "good cheese"...
...and I came to the hard realization that the Boursin I've always deemed so fancy in fact is not fancy at all.
A lovely afternoon picnic at a park in Paris...not a bad way to spend a Sunday ;)
The kids played Frisbee...
...and in the water...
...and the grown ups chatted and publicly consumed alcohol.
Man oh man do I love my boys!
That evening, we walked around Paris a bit.
The kids had fun finding this particular brand of street art all around downtown...
We were stoked to find TinTin and Snowy in Paris!
David and I continued to snap pictures of random Parisian streets...
We visited a spot that overlooked downtown...
Beautiful mosaic art and a little Sunday Market...
We visited a really cool playground...
And walked around Paris some more...
We stopped at a little bar and had a drink outside...
In front of the neighboring bar were two guys playing guitars, and Brother slowly made his way over there to watch more closely...
...and soon all three kiddos were down the way, listening and clapping to the music...
Then we went back to their apartment to relax...
CALM DOWN!
Those are empty =)
We loved seeing so much of the beauty Paris has to offer and enjoy a relaxing day with our friends. We were bummed they had to go back to work and school the next day, but we had made some fun plans of our own...next up, Paris Disney!
