Even though we were sad our time in Dubai was over, we were super happy Dave's parents were coming back to Kuwait with us!
When they came to Kuwait last year, we only got to have them for about a week. This time they stayed a bit longer, and we were thrilled!
We did a plethora of fun things while they were here, and David, the kids and I all missed them terribly once they left.
But.
We know we'll see them again soon, and we're SO grateful they made the gigantic trek (twice!) to come over and see us.
Here's a catch-all post of *some* of our highlights from their stay...
Our first attempt at the elevator selfie...
...cut out Papa. FAIL.
We went and walked along the corniche...
We had the BEST time playing this charade-type game we called "Trio"...
This is Brother acting out "Daddy"...which he did by stroking his pretend beard. Which was dead on.
...After the kids went down, the grown ups would watch a movie or Modern Family, or just stay up at chat...
One of the days that David had to work, the rest of us headed down to the beach to play for a bit...
Brother asked Gaga if she wanted to wrestle, and she agreed! How much fun is she?
The beginnings of the Water Battle...
We did lots of hanging around the house, playing card games...
...and watching our new favorite cartoon we'd discovered in Dubai, We Bare Bears...
...and baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with Gaga...
There was some swimming...
We walked over to Boulevard park one day...
I think I only cooked twice the entire 12 days my in-laws were here! They cooked a lot of dinners for us, which I did not hate =)
We tried new restaurants...
Papa and Gaga watched the kids while this handsome man and I snuck away for a date...
...we ran a few errands (because we're old and married, and because it's easier to do sans children) and then went out for a cup of coffee and sat outside watching a soccer game while we sipped and chatted (because we're still kinda young sometimes)...
We continued to practice the elevator selfie...
One evening David and his parents walked over to Boulevard to do a little shopping...
...and caught a bit of a Cricket game...
We went out to breakfast (again)...
...and played more Trio...
We mall-walked...
...and enjoyed dinner by the sea...
We also went to Green Island, a handful of souks, had family pictures taken, and had a birthday party for the twins.
More pictures to come =).
