Lately...

Wednesday marked the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid holiday weekend.
David had the entire week off - hallelujah!
Our little family enjoyed tons of relaxing and spending time together. I spent less time on screens, including finishing an actual book - not on the kindle - with real pages to turn and everything!!! ;)

The kids loved having their Daddy around each day, all day!
Dave and I are both night owls, and we took advantage of getting to stay up well past midnight each night hanging out and watching movies, and then taking turns sleeping in the next day. My favorite =)

It's back to regular scheduled programming around here today, and we're missing Dave for sure! Never a better time to catch up on life lately...

The week before Eid, we had our weekly Crafty Day with our homeschool group, which (wonderfully!) also always includes some free play time with friends...

This session was watercolor painting...

Always so fun to see our friends and play!

Brother thrilled to have a sweet kitty laying on him...

We were invited to celebrate another Iftar with some sweet friends...

And again had such a wonderful, rich experience. We're so grateful for our friends here including us!

We played some card games with the neighbors...

...and took some more elevator selfies...

...and swimming, swimming, and more swimming!

We feel so blessed to be in a building that has a swimming pool. It's perfectly placed between our building and the one next to it (both very tall) so it really only gets direct sunlight for a few hours a day. Otherwise it's nice and shaded, and provides such sweet relief on hot days.
The twins have become such guppies since we moved here! Both now swim the entire length of the pool and back without any assistance from us. Pretty impressive seeing as how they required their Puddle Jumpers every time when we came here...

The kids and I met some fun friends at a fun indoor play place...

Dave and I took the kids to see Finding Dory...

(LOVED it!!)

We've hung around the house plenty, and the twins have had fun getting creative.
They made a Chinese Dragon out of boxes...

...played some Scrabble Jr (Thanks Papa and Gaga!)...

...and built things out of the eleventy billion straws we have...

...and decorated some jungle animals from a kit...

...and baked some treats to deliver to neighbors at Iftar...

...and scored a fun new air hockey table at a friend's garage sale...

We had some sweet friends over for painting...

...and swimming...

That pretty much wraps life lately around here.
Grateful everyday for the time spent with these (rapidly growing) cuties...
