The next morning the weather was nice, and Dave decided he wanted to go hiking and explore a bit. Since we didn't know the hiking terrain, we agreed I'd stay back with the kids and hang out around the beach and hotel.
David set off for a little solo time, heading in the direction of a Buddhist temple off in the distance...
He took the camera with him and captured some of the beauty on his hike...
I don't have a ton of commentary for these pics (I know, you're devastated...I mean, however will you even know what's happening in every picture????) as these are Dave's pics, but the kids and I loved seeing them when he returned and hearing about his morning. Such beautiful places he visited!

David said he had a great time, and we were so glad he got to explore on his own a bit. Meanwhile, the kids and I hung out and swam in one of the hotel's pools...
We watched someone take scuba diving lessons...
That afternoon, we relaxed in our hotel room a bit. Sister did some coloring...
Both kids wrestled with Daddy...
...and played and accessorized and were goofy together...
For dinner that evening, Sister and I wore matching maxi skirts...don't buy her expression in this pic, she loved it =)
We wandered down the beach a bit, and landed on a restaurant named "The Happy Banana" =). We had a delicious meal by candlelight, listening to the waves of the Indian Ocean crashing against the shore near by...
...another great day in Sri Lanka =)
